Foster Care
Best Nest and our dedicated foster parents provide safe and
loving temporary homes for children whose parents are unable to care for them.
Adoption
Best Nest matches loving families with children in need of a permanent home
of their own. We contract with the statewide adoption network (SWAN) to provide
subsidies to families who adopt children with special needs.
Services to Children in Their Own Homes (SCOH) Designed for at-risk families,
the goal of SCOH is to maintain and strengthen families and prevent the need for foster care.
Securing Ties A program created to help families and children affected and
infected by HIV/AIDS address the psychosocial and concrete needs of this unique population.
Comprehensive services are provided ranging from recreational activities to subsidies for
burials to legal counseling.

Foster Care, Kinship Care and Respite Care:
We specialize in caring for children who have medical needs of all levels. Best Nest also
works to certify kin to be foster parents so that children have the opportunity to remain
with those familiar to them. Respite care providers are important to foster parents so
that they can have a "break" from the day-to-day parenting of children with special needs.
If you are interested in becoming a certified foster parent, kinship parent or respite provider
for a child, please contact Lori Hendrickson at 215-546-8060. Foster Parent Orientations are
held monthly to help you make a decision about this life-changing opportunity to help children
and families.
